Electronic Prescribing Service

Electronic prescribing was rolled out to the surgery in February 2017. This service allows us to send your prescription electronically to a pharmacy of your choosing and means you will not have to come and collect the prescription in order to take it to the pharmacy.

The ABC’s of Safe Sleep

Alone– Babies should always be on their own sleep surface. Bed sharing is a risk factor for SUIDS and other sleep related deaths.

Back – Babies should be on their back for every sleep.

Crib – The crib should be empty. This means no bumper pads, pillows, blankets, stuffed animals, toys or supplies, like diapers and

        diaper wipes.

PRIVATE PROVIDERS/ SHARED CARE INFORMATION – General practice responsibility in responding to private healthcare (bma.org.uk)

GP Practice Policy on Requests for Medical Records by Private Providers
Our practice does not share medical records directly with private providers. This includes, but is not limited to, pharmacies, weight management clinics, and private medical institutions.
Direct Sharing of Records: We do not share patient medical records directly with private providers.
Patient Access to Records: Patients have the right to access their own medical records. We encourage the use of the NHS App for convenient access.
If a patient is unable to access their records via the NHS App, we can provide copies via email upon request.
Patient Responsibility: Once patients have obtained their records, they may share them with any third-party provider of their choosing. It is the patient’s responsibility to handle the transmission of their records to private providers.

This policy ensures the efficient management of administrative resources while maintaining patient control over their own healthcare information.
